My name is Kat, I am a senior at UC Berkeley studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS). My main interest lies in applying computer science (algorithms, architecture, cloud) to geospatial/Earth science projects. Examples include building improved readers for NetCDF/HDF specifications, wildfire perimeter generation/benchmarking, and AWS workflows for satellite data. I have demonstrated my skills through several internships at NASA Goddard and NASA HQ.
